As people's living standards continue to develop, fitness awareness has gradually improved and participating in sports has become a part of everyday life. However, it is important to exercise in a safe and effective way to avoid common pitfalls. To this end, the Hebei Sports Science Research Institute has recently reminded the public to avoid four "minefields" when it comes to sports and exercise.

The first "minefield" is taking it easy during normal work days and then pushing too hard during the holiday period. This can result in injury and cause more harm than good. To prevent this, it is recommended to increase exercise gradually and adopt a safe and structured approach to fitness.

The second "minefield" is immediately stopping physical activity after a strenuous workout. This can cause a quick drop in blood pressure, leading to physical discomfort and other symptoms. Instead, it is recommended to slowly reduce physical activity to allow the heart rate to drop before resting and performing stretching exercises.

The third "minefield" is working out hungry. This can lead to low blood sugar and dizziness, making it difficult to continue exercising. To avoid this, experts suggest consuming a light snack at least 30 minutes before exercising.

The fourth "minefield" is over-exercising. By pushing yourself too hard and ignoring your body's limitations, you are more likely to get injured, leading to setbacks in your fitness journey. To avoid this, beginners should start with low-intensity workouts and gradually increase the intensity and difficulty level over time.

The bottom line is that fitness should not be approached haphazardly, but rather in a structured, safe and scientific manner. By following these guidelines, individuals can achieve optimal fitness while avoiding common mistakes that could lead to injury and setbacks.
